modern physics to determine the best ways to move and defend ourselves. These natural laws
teach optimum positioning when fighting and training and become the reason behind every strategy and technique.

Advanced Fighting Concepts offers Socal Wing Chun instruction, Jeet Kune Do and Kung Fu along
with concepts from original bare-knuckle boxing & fencing. Classes are taught personally by renowned martial artist Adam Williss.
What makes Advanced Fighting Concepts different is its approach to martial arts as a whole. It uses a blend of taoist philosophy
combined with the latest advances in science to determine the best ways to move and defend yourself.
A typical class begins with Chinese internal Qigong exercises. Next are several
free-from drills (such as Chi Sao), designed to cultivate a greater awareness of energy. Then
comes a subject lesson of the day introducing, isolating and then integrating new ideas into
practical application. Last and most importantly, each class concludes with realistic sparring
in a controlled environment to help the student find their own answers through trial and error.
Advanced Fighting Concepts provides personalized socal wing chun instruction and Jeet Kune Do in a relaxed atmosphere for those seeking private lessons as well.

Wing Chun is best known as Bruce Lee's original martial art. It is based on simplicity,
relaxed power through softness, yin and yang, yielding and controlling, chi flow and natural
responses. Wing Chun's principles go with the flow of energy rather than forcing against it.
Wing Chun uses the power of relaxed softness to overcome an opponent's force. It is highly
direct and specializes in devastating close-quarter hand-to-hand combat. Through intercepting
an opponent's attack, Wing Chun trains contact reflexes to sense an opening in the opponent's
defenses. With this technology, it can then use an opponent's force against them. It is
characterized by trapping, simultaneously attack and defense, lChi Sao, the Wing Chun
wooden dummy and its extremely quick hands.
Jeet Kune Do is the martial arts philosophy of Bruce Lee. It is based on a simplicity,
directness and freedom. Bruce Lee's concepts rely on strong offensive action and is
considered by many to be a predecessor of today's mixed martial arts. Bruce Lee, best
known for his spectacular fighting abilities in many martial arts films, trained Wing
Chun in Hong Kong under the legendary Yip Man. Using Yip Man's Wing Chun as his foundation,
he incorporated concepts from fencing and boxing. The result became Jeet Kune Do, which
stresses doing the most effective thing in any situation regardless of form or tradition.
Jeet Kune Do refers to the practice of intercepting attacks and turning them back on the
attacker rather than dodging or simply blocking. Common moves in Jeet Kune Do include low
kicks, moves that combine a punch with a parried blow, and trapping the opponents limbs
with your own to maintain control.
